Practical Recommendation

If you eat out a lot, this is a solid $0-fee keeper: 4x on dining/delivery, but capped at $2,000 per quarter. The $15 streaming credit is easy value. For redemptions, you only get the full 1¢/point if you deposit into a U.S. Bank checking or savings account. Statement credits (including Real-Time Rewards texts) now redeem at about 0.75¢/point (e.g., 3,333 points = $25). There's also a 3% foreign transaction fee, so don't take it abroad. If you spend heavy on dining, an uncapped dining card probably beats it.

Credits

  • $15 Annual Streaming Credit – Earn a $15 statement credit once per 12-month period after 11 consecutive months of eligible streaming purchases (think Netflix, Apple TV+, Spotify, etc.). Credit posts within 2 billing cycles after month 11. No rollovers, and only services on the issuer's eligible list count. Practical value: easy $15 if you already pay for any mainstream service; $0 if you don't.

Perks

  • Detailed earning structure (recap) – 4x at restaurants, takeout & delivery on the first $2,000 per quarter; 2x at groceries, gas/EV charging, and eligible streaming; 1x on everything else. Good everyday coverage; note the quarterly cap on 4x.
  • Real-Time Rewards – Enroll once, then get a text after eligible purchases to redeem points instantly as a statement credit. You generally need enough points to cover the charge. Handy for quick, no-portal redemptions. — Learn how to enroll

Protections

  • Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver (secondary) – Covers damage/theft to your rental when you pay with the card and decline the rental agency's collision waiver. Useful for domestic rentals if you're comfortable with secondary coverage. — Visa Signature overview
  • Purchase Protection – Reimburses eligible new purchases for theft or damage within a short window after purchase (time limits and claim caps apply). Helpful for accidental drops and porch thefts. — Visa Signature overview
  • Extended Warranty – Adds extra time to eligible U.S. warranties (typically 1 additional year on warranties of 3 years or less). Useful on electronics/appliances. — Visa Signature overview
  • Zero Liability – You aren't responsible for unauthorized charges; report promptly.

Key Gotchas to Know

  • 4x dining cap: First $2,000 per quarter at restaurants/takeout/delivery; then 1x.
  • Foreign transaction fee: 3% on purchases outside the U.S. (so skip this one abroad).
  • Points expiration: Points forfeit after 12 consecutive statement cycles with no purchase, balance, or rewards activity.
  • Category exclusions: Discount stores/wholesale clubs typically do not earn the grocery or gas multipliers.
