6% at Two Retailers, 3% in One Category — Closed to New Applicants
U.S. Bank stopped accepting applications for this card on June 22, 2026. If you don't already have it, you can't get it. If you do have it, nothing changes: the card keeps working, the 6%/3% picks keep working, and U.S. Bank is not force-converting existing accounts to another product.
For current cardholders, the math is the same as it always was. Pick two retailers for 6% and one everyday category for 3%, then set a reminder to re-confirm your choices each quarter. Your first-year $0 intro annual fee is long gone, so at $95 a year you need roughly $1,600+ of annual spend in the 6% buckets just to clear the fee. If your shopping has drifted away from the big boxes, it's worth pricing this against a $0-fee flat-rate card before you pay the fee again.
If you're shopping for a new card today, look at the Cash+ instead — same quarterly-category idea, no annual fee, and still open.
